Leafless Tree Reflection Mural

4/22/18

This photo was taken on April 8, 2018 at 11:06 AM.

The location was 2 blocks from the White House in Washington DC.

The "Take it!" came as I was stopped at an intersection and waiting for the light to change, happened to look at this splendid reflection in the glass front of a building still under construction.  I quickly grabbed my camera and took this photo through the windshield of my car. Just as soon as I got the shot, the light changed and moving on, was the order of the moment.

I have since been by this building several times and the mural is there. I am looking forward to seeing the picture change as the foliage arrives on the trees bringing both covering of the dark branches as well as the vivid green of the leaves.

This is part of the life of this now very vibrant city.  Buildings such as this one used to be a building of just a bit smaller size on the same footprint.  The old building was completely torn down and a new on put up in its place.  It seems the economics of getting just a little more space to use along with all of the new technology available to make it run more efficiently make it all worthwhile.

The hunt for unexpected murals goes on.

Best wishes to those of you who share my journey through photography.

Bruce

Mid April and the trees are still bare, winter must be lingering.

That's cool you grabbed it in the car, I can never do that. I'm too slow.
