Grab and Glance

4/26/21

This photo was taken on March 3, 2021 at 7:41 AM.

The location was at the entrance to a historic hotel near the White House in Washington DC.

The "Take It!"  came from a look up from my reaching for the handrail while leaving this great hotel.  It was early in the morning and the sun was in a position to provide a great shadow from the assist I was afforded by this polished brass railing.

This is a hotel with a great staff and one of whom we lost to the pandemic.  He was a doorman originally from Guatemala - and a fine fellow.  Fortunately - I do not know many who have died from this awful scourge - but each one will be missed.  While I did not have his address - nor had met his family - we had exchanged information about our children and a bit about our lives.  I asked one of the staff to express my condolences to his widow.

Each day is a gift.

All my best,

Bruce

My daughter says it looks like 3 pencils drawing a line.

For some reason my eyes are drawn to that concrete block with the diagonal line going through it.
