Street Mache Matador with Cape Flowing

This photo was taken on March 19, 2020 at 11:25 AM.

The location was in the City Center District of Washington DC.

The "Take It!" came with my not knowing what I would find - but after several turns of the photograph the image of a Bull Fighter emerged. As a child I witnessed a number of Bull Fights in Mexico as my Father was a fencer in his youth and this sport interested him. While there was a lot of pageantry surrounding it - I never thought it was it was that great. There was no question about the skill of the Bull Fighters - but the end result was always the same and did not appeal to me.

The highlight of these excursions to Mexico was having a great dinner after the above show in a restaurant that was in a cave. The food was excellent and there was always great live music.

Amazing how a piece of paper in the street can bring back memories from long ago.

I think Bull Fighting has been banned in most of the world at this time.

All the best to everyone,

So my daughter asked what a Matador is and I explained what they do. Her response was, "Why the heck would anyone want to tease a Bull!?" Good question lol.

If you look at it from the side it kinda looks like one of those rorschach tests.

I'll have to get help from one of my grandkids for this one. I just can't make it out.
