More Branch Buds

5/16/22

This photo was taken on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 10:27 AM.

The location was in the Woodly Park District of Washington D.C.

The "Take it!" came as I got out of my car in front of a well known stately older hotel and saw this unusual example of buds encrusting the trunk and branches of a tree. I had seen single buds before on the trunk of a tree - but never in such profusion as this tree provided.

While highly unusual - it still was quite attractive to the eye.

Here is hoping you found this to be beautiful as well as I did.

Sending everyone my very best,

Bruce

    Wow, that almost looks alien-like.

We were talking about how odd this looks. The pink things look like a parasite or something.

It looks really cool...but odd. Are they flowers, fungus...what is it?

Thank you for the range of your comments on this ever so unusual display of the budding process for a tree.
Reading your views was as much fun as taking the photograph.
    Thanks again.
