Get Ahead

The photo series was taken at 1pm on May 4th 2012

The session was in my house using the mantle over the fireplace.

The "Take It!" Was one of those get to it things, as I have had this in mind for a long time. Spring can have such a motivating way about it. Good grief, I am getting all sorts of things done which I have put off during the winter.

The After Take: To those who I have shown this to, they all like it, many say they will entertain doing it on their own. This came to me as a gift idea. Call it a different way to give someone a hundred dollars in cash without using one of those greeting cards with the slot for the currency placed on the inside. This yells at the recipient. Another way of using that now old saying "Show me the money".

I started with a glass maniquen purchased at Pier One. Then picked up one hundred one dollar bills at the bank and crumpled them up. They were then placed in the head from the neck up and seemed to be just the right amount to fill it. I then used clear wide shipping tape to close off the bottom. Just this amount of work seemed to be a winner judging from the reaction of the few to whom I have made this a gift. I took it a step further and made a wood base for it which took some time, but I think adds a lot of distinction to it.

I put together this run of photos which sort of has an artsy look to it, which I hope you will enjoy. By the way, the knit hat is demonstration of how to use this piece after washing your knit hats and keeping them with some stretch in them as they dry. Yes, the leaf has a name, 'Stance,' who has a photo set coming to you in the future. He is on the mantle and wanted to get into as many of the pictures as possible.

We all have the definition for Automatic Teller Machine set as ATM, Well, I think it could be "All it Takes is Money " which might fit right in here.

Thanks for joining us for the current photo presentation. You are cordially invited to return Tuesday, June 5th for a new picture that we hope you will enjoy.

Wishing you all my best,

Bruce

Yes it is. I don't think my family would be interested in the leaf, haha. That is, if I presented the gift to them in that fashion.
