Spike Reflection on Walkway

3/25/17

These photos were taken on March 7, 2016 at 9:50AM.

The location was next to a Ballroom entrance at a very nice hotel in Tyson's Corner, Virginia.

The "Take It!" came from actually walking over this reflection on my way into the hotel - thinking that it was a paint marker of some sort and catching in the corner of my eye, the reflection relocate onto my pant leg as I stepped on it.  I made note to investigate it further when I returned.

Having been at this location many times I had an idea of the what of it all as I came back to the scene. As I had suspected - there was the formerly featured trash can giving off just the slightest of glint and the bounce making it to the bricks in the walk.

The After Take: When an item or a person is a star - it is impossible to hide one's shine.

Here is hoping a little glint will catch your eye - and give you a smile in the discovery of its source.

Wishing you a happy day.

I love chrome. Like even though it wouldn't fit my house, I wish I had a trash can like that.

My first thought was a railroad spike, spot on I guess.

It really does look like a paint splotch or something. Clever use of lighting.
