Sidewalk 'Drip' Player

11/24/19

This photo was taken on November 19, 2019 at 4:39 AM.

The location was in Washington DC.

The "Take It!"  came as I was departing from my regular stop at a 7/11 on my way to begining my part time job.  I stop here for a large cup of ice with is a permanent refill offer from a purchase of a beverage there some time ago. I use it to make ice water which I drink during the day. I also buy two bananas which I have as my breakfast.

Having made the above purchase - I was on my way back to my  car when this water drip figure appeared in a segment of the sidewalk. It is one of the very best action figures I have ever seen using spillage on concrete.

Several of those to whom I showed it to - voted to have it be a soccer (football) player - others thought of it as a basket ball player. Everyone joined me in marveling at the catch and thought it was big time fun.

Here is hoping you too might catch a fleeting figure as you are walking.

Best wishes to all for a great Thanksgiving which hopefully will be spent with those you enjoy and in good health.

PS:  Hats, scarves, and some surplus socks were dropped off at the homeless shelter by me on Tuesday.  It was at a time of what looked to be somewhat usual turmoil - so I left the box and was thanked - that was enough for me.  I can only hope the items will be of help to some who frequent this facility.

We all thought the ball was too small and too close to his hands for him to be a soccer player lol.

I see a baseball player personally. Btw, are you a Nationals fan, living in the DC area? If so, congratulations. Hell of a World Series!

DC is a pretty ethnically diverse population, so futbol being the most voted guess makes perfect sense.

I see a dragon. I don't know if that means my imagination is lacking or has taken off.

I did a survey and everyone in my household said it looked like the sport they all played in high school, so there is definitely some bias in our choices.

I said its a volleyball player.
My older brother said its a baseball player.
My younger sister said its a soccer player.
And my cousin said its a softball player.
