Playing in a Busy Intersection

This photo was taken on November 13, 2015 at 1:35 PM

The location was half the length of the block away from my house on my street in Bethesda, Maryland.

The "Take It!" came after having taken a number of somewhat serious shots in my neighborhood of shadows that are emerging, now that most of the leaves have fallen off the trees.

I was walking at a leisurely pace on my way home when I came to this intersection and saw how " busy " the empty, except for loads of shadows this crossing of roads actually was.  I could not help but insert myself into this what would have been an interesting photo ( to me at least - lol ) that seemed ripe for some fun to be included.   So, having had some previous, wire from poles shadow, experience - I quickly stepped into the shadow of the pole itself and did that position the arms thing, to make this odd addition.

The After Take:  I showed this to one person, who got a big laugh out of it, after I showed him, what I had done.

Life is ever so good.

All my best to each of you,

Bruce

It looks like you are holding a javelin. Pretty fun picture, I bet it was fun to take too.

When I look at this photo I see a mixture of Picasso and Modern Art. It's a great photo, I think it would make a great painting as well.

I may be way off here, but with the title playing in a busy intersection, is the shadow supposed to be a trombone, or tuba, or one of those brass instruments? I couldn't tell you one from another based on their names but I definitely see one of those instruments.

There is an ancient Martial Arts weapon called a Sai, I see it in the shadow. Your body is the handle, your arms are the prongs, and the pole is the pointed baton. Our mutual friend Taylor rarely speaks of this, but he studied Martial Arts for over 10 years, he is actually a very proficient user of Sais.
