Work Horses in Transit

12/13/22

These photos were taken on December 10, 2020 at 2:27 PM.

The location was in the parking lot of a very nice moderately priced hotel in Largo, MD.

The "Take It!" was an easy choice as this never before seen by me - versatile vehicle - showed up on a trailer in a parking lot of one of the stops I make on a regular basis while doing my part time job. I took a number of photos of not only this smaller work horse - but also a larger tailored work platform - which was well stocked with machines to help with work performed on pipelines which were located in water situated locations.

It is happen upon equipment like this - that tickle the fancy of gadget people like me. As I circled these peices of equipment - I happily tried to imagine watching them being put into use and used by experienced hands in the helping to get a challenging job - be taken care of. We fortunately live in an era when such curiosity can be satisfied with the many video sources available to consult for visual reference to the answers.

One is also fully entitled to engaging in some wonder of the history behind the invention or bringing about these machines and the procedures put into place in their use. Imagining past struggles with using older - less efficient equipment - is also fun.

It is imaginings like these - ( this one found in a parking lot - viewing - an " in transit situation " ) which bring me unexpected times of joy. The other part of the joy - is in being able to share the surprise with those who view our web site.

Wishing everyone my very best as we share in these small adventures in life.

Bruce

PS: Having access to taking the photos while all of this is - sitting still - in a parking lot - is so much easier than doing it on the fly - as I often find myself doing in the pursuit of capturing photos for our amusement. The term "made easy" comes to mind.

Whenever I see a vehicle in need of repair I have to repair it. It is driving me crazy looking at this thing knowing I can't get in there with my hands.

My husband bought something similar years ago. I was so mad because there was no way we could actually use it.
