A Shadow Runs Free

This photo was taken on November 3, 2015 at  2:12  PM
The location was on a street in my neighborhood.
The "Take It!" came as I took some time one bright sunny afternoon to go shadow hunting in my neighborhood.  This shadow caught my eye, and seemed to call for me to take its photo. There is something about the way the shadow seems to be flowing from right to left in the street.  There is open space in the street to the right of it which gives to me the appearance of a sort of movement in that direction.
Call it being caught in the moment, and each time I return to this photo - it has the same effect upon me.
Like, so often when I take time out to have a short walk, it always seems that I wind up spending lots more time that I had initially in mind - and am very happy that I did.
My take away, is that occasional walks are good for the soul.  They tell me, regular walks are even better - lol
Wishing everyone the chance to visit with some lively shadows that live in your neighborhood.

What a beautiful picture. From the shadows to the tree colors, it reminds me of a painting. Beautiful!

My afternoon walks have gotten much more interesting since I began to follow this website. I actually look around for things.

You have a beautiful looking neighborhood. It gives off a very warm feel, a welcoming environment.

Its funny, when my wife and I saw this we both said we thought it looked like something at the exact same time. I said cracks in the road, she said a spiderweb.

The web looks like a spiderweb.
