Fun Intended Consequences

10/17/22

This photograph was taken on October 6, 2022 at 2:49 PM.

The location was in the living room of my home in Beltsville, Maryland.

"The Take It!" I purchased these bowls at a yard sale in my neighborhood - envisioning them having been filled with yellow buttered popcorn. Thinking there might be a nice color contrast. I really was not interested in the smaller bowl - but they were priced as a pair at the bargain rate of $ 6 for the two of them.

I decided to share the find with a friend via sending a photo of them by email. For a quick grab of a surface to use for the photo - I placed them on some stacks of boxes I am using for another project.

What happened - was the unintended virtual dividing of the bowls using the underlying separations between the stacks of boxes - which gave the photo a most unusual effect.

Sometime soon - I will pick up some popcorn and post the photo using the original intent. In the meantime - I hope you enjoy this very different visual treat.

Wishing you all my best,

Bruce

Might have sort of a green tint when the yelow from the popcorn butter touches the blue bowl could look pretty cool.

The best deals are at yard sales. $6 is a steal, those are beautiful!

This is almost a perfect representation of how our popcorn is shared between my wife and I. I get the bowl on the right, she gets the bowl on the left. Most would think it'd be the other way around, but it works for us.

Oooo yes, popcorn sounds so good right now. It's our movie night too. I think I may need to make a quick stop at the store! Thank you!!

What happens when the bowls lay out against the boxes and the space between them is interesting. I can't quite put my finger on it, the negative space of the empty bowl allows for an interesting view of the negative space between the boxes behind it.

Popcorn has to be one of the best snacks you could put in the big bowl. Maybe some m&m's in the other...they actually go really well together.

I saw the picture and thought, "how cute hopefully he says where he got them so I can order a pair." I don't think I would find them at a yard sale though lol.
