Art Work that Nails It

9/19/21

These phots were taken on August  21, 2021 at 7:57 AM.

The location was in the corridor of a very nice moderate hotel in the City Center Section of Washington DC.

The "Take It!" came as I had passed by these pieces numerous times and had not previously paid much attention to them.  This time the simplistic creativity was fun to observe close up.   The artist drove in nails to a backed canvas in a design pattern then connected the nails with wire to form the shapes desired.  One can quickly see how more intricate designs could be made.

Creativity comes in many forms.

All the best to everyone,

Bruce.

I got a good laugh out of your PS. I was thinking "who in their right mind would try to duplicate this." LOL

Sometimes (almost all the time) I do not understand art.

I am fascinated by the imagination of children. I was looking at this wondering what exactly it is and my youngest daughter walked up to me and said "are they making a Peacock?"

I'm not sure what to be amazed more by, this very strange piece of artwork, or the fact that you said you walked by this many times and had not paid any attention to it. I would have figured this would have immediately triggered your 'street art' senses.

I am a person that can appreciate modern art for all its abstractness and, as some would call it, "weirdness," but this is just strange.
