One Leaves Off, the Other Begins

These photos were taken on August 12, 2013 at 8 AM.

The location was in downtown Washington DC about 6 blocks from the White House.

The "Take It!"  This was one of those, be at the right place at the right moment photos.  To have the building on the side of the street that I was standing on so well reflected and to add even more, so well framed in the face of the building across the street was almost spell binding.  It looks as if the building reflected is inside the other one.  The host building sky lights just seem to add that much more mystery to the entire picture.

The After Take:  Everyone that I showed this set of photos to got caught up in them.  It is rare when there is such a uniform general reaction to a photo.  I showed it without explanation - then very quickly I was asked to explain it. What fun to share this level of enthusiasm.

Here is hoping, you too, catch such an image, and savor it.

All my very best,

Bruce

Crazy that it would fit right inside there.

I like the atrium. That building must get a ton of sunlight.

Thanks to everyone for expressing your shared enjoyment on this very lucky catch. The buildings are facing one another on 11 th Street N.W. at the corner of G street. They are relatively new buildings, certainly upscale. All my best to everyone.
