School Bus with Imagination - In Transit

10/31/22

This photo was taken on October 4, 2022 at 8: 49 AM during the commuter rush period.

The location was on the Beltway surrounding the Washington DC Area.

The "Take It!" came as I noticed this small school bus up on a trailer being transported to - who knows where. It was a sort of slow motion development of my interest which was pulled together when I finally moved up in the traffic to be next to the bus and read the lettering on the side of the vehicle.

The print on the bus was designed to stimulate the imagination of a potential buyer - with a sort of a " fill in the blank in your own special way " theme which may have been effective ( that is - if the unit was on its way to a purchaser ) . In any case - I found it to be quite clever.

In all of my years of being on the road - this is the first time I had seen a school bus being transported in this fashion.

I could not help but hope the well used school bus was on its way to adding another happy chapter to its unwritten career log book.

One never knows where eye candy will present itself.

Wishing everyone my very best,

Bruce

Your title reminds me of a kids show in the 90's my kids used to watch called The Magic School Bus. Ever heard of it?

Hopefully it was a sale and not a breakdown. Can you imagine a stalled school bus full of kids? Poor bus driver.

I just noticed "Owned by Town of" was left blank, which probably means it is a sale.

Where's Miss Frizzle when you need her... whenever I see these shorter busses it reminds me of magic school bus.

Wow, SF1967 & Jim. Talk about a trip down memory lane. My brother and I loved that show when we were kids. We would watch it every Saturday morning on PBS; I don't think we missed a single episode. I heard they were remaking it, or did remake it, or brought it back at the very least? This was a couple years ago so it may have come and gone since.

Thank you to everyone for your great comments. I am very appreciative of it triggering memories of the ' Magic School Bus ' TV show. The lady who created it - is not only an award winner - but a national treasure as well. In real life - to be a School Bus Driver takes a very special type of person. To: xXRodriguezXx a special thank you for sharing the story about your Mother. I think she was also a great Mom. Congratulations to Taylor for busting out with a great story about you and your Brother enjoying the show. Thank you again to everyone for the - what if's - coulda's - and other great takes which makes the comment section - often - the star of the weekly entry. All my best. Bruce
