Surprise Color Flow

3/3/19

This set of photos was taken on January 16, 2019 at 2:04 PM.

The location was in the parking lot of a well managed hotel in Largo Maryland, which enjoys lots of patrons of the local Football team when they have in town games. Fans of rival teams that are within driving distance - have found this friendly hotel as well.

This property is located on a sort of cul de sac upon which there are other similar hotels of other brands drawing upon the same business. As chance would have it,  Another hotel is being built next to this property and has many trucks delivering items to the construction site. These trucks  collect mud on their tires from the site. Somehow an agreement was made which calls for the construction crew to wash off the mud before the trucks go back out onto the pavement in the road. Some of this muddy water makes its way down hill to the parking lot of the hotel which I visit on a regular basis.

I just happened to look down at the time I was getting out of my car and noticed the pooling of this muddy water next to the tire of the vehicle that was the next one to mine. In the not too deep pool there was just enough depth and flow to form curves and color changes which were similar to paintings I have seen which were done on a grand scale.  In these photos some of the high points in the asphalt actually stick up and through the surface of the water.

Beauty is sometimes found in the most unlikely places.

Wishing each of you my very best.

Bruce
