Recycling Receptacle takes on a Curvaceous Reflection

3/08/20

This photo was taken on February 15, 2020 at 10:27 AM.

The location was in one of Washington DC's Mega Hotels near the Convention Center.

The "Take It!” was an easy one for me, as I am a big fan of reflections. This one was the result of an overhead light in the ceiling shining down upon the somewhat sculpted design of the chromed lid for the recycling receptacle. The two openings in this lid were of different shapes and contours. One opening was for general trash and the other for recyclable items.

The net result to my thinking was that through placement of this facility in this convenient corner - there was an unintended splash of flair added by the light cast upon it.

Sometimes it is the small stuff that can turn into eye candy.

Here is hoping you too encounter something that calls for a second look if the first one, just isn't enough.

With very best regards,

Bruce

Hope you guys at Whutzzat are staying safe! This coronavirus thing is really ramping up. I need my weekly Whutzzat fix lol, so be careful.

Its a good thing that reflection is there. Those walls would look sterile and boring without it.

Our weekly lunch group has been postponed since the school closed, but we will continue via text. Everyone, practice social distancing and as much as possible be cautious. I am hoping these photos continue even if your normal routine is interrupted, its just too much fun viewing and talking about these things.

A close friend of mine told me about this site, he goes by SF1967 here. Our bowling club has been postpned for awhile and he told a few of us about this websit. He said there are hundreds of pictures and things and it'd keep us entertained for hours. I took a peak and it is really entertaining. I've been flipping through all your pictures and it is a lot of fun.
