Girl on the Run

The location was in NW Washington DC in the street
The "Take It!" came as I was returning to my car after visiting one of the designated locations on my route. I have through the course of time gotten a little bit better in determining from a distance - what may be a possible street Mache figure for us to put in front of our imaginations. This one - held both promise and challenge - thus I took the photograph with the thought in mind of - figuring it out later. I must say - most of the photos I take are wrapped in self evidence - while others find me visiting the photo numerous times to put together the proper wording - in order to have it become a weekly photo/story entry.
This photo took several on screen visits to match up the running legs with the image of the type of garment a girl would be wearing in many of the countries in the Middle East. She also is wearing a mask ( be it for protection or religious purposes - it does not matter ). I would like for her to be running in the delight of participating in a field sport - rather than fleeing persecution.
While this photo/story could be viewed as a bit heavy - it also gives us a chance to stretch our take on what is before us.

Thank you - to everyone for your thoughtful comments. It is amazing to me - that the street and sidewalks - can be such an amazing resource for our entertainment. I have to confess to becoming more selective in what I consider to be candidates for submission to the site. My imagination can sometimes stretch - beyond outer limits - lol
