Brass Gets Some Reflective Flash

2/21/21

This photo was taken on December  8, 2020 at 10:21 AM.

The location was at my home in Beltsville, Maryland.

The "Take It!" came as I went to reach for this brass handle which is attached to one of the uprights holding the roof over my small back porch.  What caught my eye was the never noticed before reflection from the sun cast from the brass onto the white painted 4x4. Even though the splash of brightness is small the contrast is somewhat mystifying in shape.

I had the brass handles placed on the pillars rather than the garden gate aluminum variety -  specifically for the purpose of gathering a small upgrade - and with this bit of unexpected shine - I got my money's worth.

Here is hoping a little shine comes your way - and gives you an unexpected smile.

All my best

Bruce

It’s got an artsy feel to it.

I misinterpreted this at first and thought you were saying the handles were attached to pillars that weren’t doors.

It looks like a couple “U’s” crisscrossing.

Did you notice your reflection? It took me a minute to see it, but you’re there.

Thank you to all for your observations on this unusual photo. The brass hand grabs are actually on the upright 4 X 4's which hold up the roof of my small back porch. I installed them to give myself stability when going up the few steps with an arm load of stuff. Better to be safe than sorry.

    All my very best,

    Bruce
