Firewood Stacking as an Art Form

7/22/17

These photos were taken on July 10, 2017 at 2:25 PM.

The location was in my neighborhood of Bethesda, Maryland.

The "Take It!"  came from having driven by this site many times and watching the existing house being prepared for a big remodeling.

On the land, and in the way, was a large tree, which unfortunately had to be cut down.

That the stacking was done between other living trees, added a large amount of intrigue to the foundation of the question of " What was going through the mind of the creator as it was put together.  This is a question that often has no logical answer - but is fun to contemplate.

The After Take: I have only shown these photos to a few and they have liked them.

I think what makes them ever so likeable, is the fact that even though there is a huge amount of hustle and bustle going on with the site, someone, thought it was important to engage in this wonderful display of whimsy in the middle of all that needs to be and is, getting done.

Please take time for some whimsy in your life, it brings wonderful returns.

Wishing you all my best,
Bruce

I've always wanted something like this, we just wouldn't use the wood fast enough before it rot or something.

Now my husbande has ideas in his head. There is a lot going on in the photos. I wonder what is being made, there are cement blocks and a cement mixer in the top photo.
