This photo was taken on August 7, 2020 at 2:20 PM.

The location was in the kitchen of my home in Beltsville, Maryland.

The "Take it!" came as a follow up to a recent photo placed on the site regarding my trimming corn plants. The follow up comments included a note from one individual who has had difficulty in growing indoor house plants.

The photo featured is that of a "Cast Iron Plant." I kid you not! This was the recommendation of a local nursery when I did my initial shopping for house plants after having made my move from Bethesda to Beltsville, Maryland. I had stated I wanted something that was hearty and could survive my history of not having plants fare that well, with me as their custodian.

The recommendation of this plant was instant - lol. I was told it could hold up well with one watering per week. The other Corn Plants need to be watered twice a week. The frequency of watering must be maintained in order to keep them all happy. So far - so good.

The green plants seem to add life to the interesting and/or cheerful photographs I have on the walls in the house.

The modest plan is someday open a mini gallery in my living room to display: Photographs, Products, and some of my more interesting personal Collectables. I am thinking of having by invitation, showings, and will serve Starbucks Frappuccino's or fruit juices along with cup cakes from a special bakery. The maximum number of guests will be three. That number, plus me as the narrator, I hope will give everyone an interactive hour and one half presentation* on select Sunday afternoons.

Life can offer us an opportunity for a diary entry every day. I appreciate the chance to share some of my views and experiences with each of you.

Wishing you my very best,

Bruce

Looks like its got some bleached tips. That's what guys used to do when I was a kid. They'd spike their hair and bleach just the tips.

See the tip of that leaf that is brown? Anything I plant is entirely that color within a month ha ha.

Thank you to everyone for your comments. As mentioned - I am not the best when it comes to house plants - thus have some leaf tip trimming days about twice a year. I will do my best to have them all looking as good as they can - when we have an open house.

Wishing everyone my very best as this summer moves into its final days.
