Checkers Therapy

8/09/21

The location was on the temporary work table I have in my living room in Beltsville Maryland

The "Take It!" came after having fashioned an economy model of a checker board from a panel in a cardboard box which was in good condition while the other sides were damaged.  Rather than throw the entire box out - I gave a bit of time to putting together the basic checker board - then went further to make up some very crude checkers which could be used to play a game.  I thought of making up chess pieces too - but had to return my focus to getting more boxes prepared for a project which is getting closer to completion.

As one can see - the tools to make this happen are few and basic - so anyone could put one together should you be of need of a project - lol

Wishing everyone my best

Bruce

My daughter LOVES checkers. She saw this and immediately asked if we could make one too. So I am now looking for an old cardboard box for tomorrow's arts & crafts.

This is clever. It's got a "how to entertain yourselves while stranded on a deserted island" look to it.

We did something like this when I was in High School Detention. My friend called it Prison Checkers.

I'm going to have to show this to the art teacher at my school. She'll love it!

I forgot I won something. My wife and I are in the process of moving. We want to be closer to our kids and grandkids. The move is proving to be quite hectic and I would like to request my prize not be sent until we are in our new home. Is that acceptable?
