A Child's Petal Car in a Carpet

7/22/18

This photo was taken on July 5th 2018 at 5:47 AM.

The location was in an excellent Hotel in the Georgetown Section of Washington DC.

The "Take It!" came after having looked at this section of carpet which is located in a small elevator provided for guests who do not care to use the stairs to access the ballroom floor from the lobby.

After Many months of early morning viewing of this seemingly stand alone shape in a patterned carpet - it suddenly came to me - that I was looking at sort of generic shape for a petal car.

I showed it to a number of people who were able to recognize the comparison and amused. Some said they could see it after I pointed it out to them. I had to confess to all that it took me some months to determine what I was looking at. I think the break through came after having had some Starbuck's coffee which sometimes helps open the imagination door.

Here is hoping the image brings back some pleasant memories from childhood, for myself, I spent many hours developing some of the skills that later in life enabled me to collect tickets - lol. Should you be lucky enough to own a petal car (especially a metal one) hang on to it - and let your grand children ride in it.

Sending you my very best regards,

Bruce
