Reflection Paves the Way

7/1/19

This photo was taken on May 22, 2019 at 10:47 AM.

The location was in the heart of downtown Washington DC in the Nw City Center district.

The "Take It!" Was not really much of a decision as it was the following of a response to the wonder placed before me which I was fortunate enough to be able to observe.

I say the above as we so often pass over or by situations which we have seen many times before and through this process the setting is rendered into an almost invisible state.

I have shown this to several of those who I am grateful to for their commitment to candor as well as some new folks to get their reactions.  All came back with some rendition of this being quite cool.

The After Take: This was one of those photos which I returned to numerous times and found myself coming up with a number of choices for a title and am still not certain the one I chose is the best of what my mind offered.

It is my hope, you will envision yourself having joined me in the taking of this photo to then take it a bit further and further join me in my car to slowly drive the length of this section of alley way to the end of this section of reflection. At the conclusion of this short drive which allowed for the mind to absorb the wonder of it - I was further filled with appreciative thought and the hope that I might just be lucky enough to pass that way again when the time and the conditions were just right to be able to enjoy a repeat showing.

Thank you,

Bruce

Is there grating above or is that a reflection of the windows?

My wife totally stole my joke. I told her it looks leopard/cheetah print when I swapped seats to let her look at it. Came back to leave that as a comment and she told me she had just left that very comment.

This is very cool! I’m not sure why but I think it might be one of my favorites.

Disregard my first comment, I just realized the title says “Reflection,” haha. I’m going to go ahead and call that a senior moment.
