Little Girl with Pony Tail via Drip on Asphalt

7/12/15

This photo was taken on June 18, 2015 at 10:38 AM

The location was in the street in front of a very nice large hotel on Capital Hill in Washington DC.

The "Take It!" was one of the most forced photos I have ever taken. I arrived at this regular stop on our route and stepped out of the car. Within a very few footsteps I happened upon this figure that had been formed by dripping of what appeared to be water from a vehicle that had parted from this location. I was in a hurry as was running a bit behind schedule, so, did not stop to take a photo right then. I took care of the purpose for the stop and returned to the car. For whatever reason I do not know - I was about to pass this shot up. I started to get back into the car and stopped myself. I had one of those little conversations that one can have with themselves - and concluded that I would be haunted if I did not take the photo.  Done!

The After Take: Has been sheer delight in sharing this image with those that are kind enough to give me early feed back on what can be a photo of what was a stretch for my imagination. This one had no difficulty in being recognized. It was most gratifying to have one viewer state that through the viewing of my photos of imagined beings, they had started to look at things with the thought in mind that they too could possibly catch an unseen image as well.

Sharing both reality and imagination via this site is a treasure for me.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this little girl with her wind blown pony tail.

Best wishes for a happy day,

Bruce

She looks like one of my grand kids throwing a temper tantrum. Arms behind her back, nose up in the air.

This looks like some of my students when I hand them a new piece of literature to read. I can just picture the look on this little girls face.
