A Part of History

8/01/21

These photos were taken on Wednesday, January 6th 2021.

The locations were in front of hotels in all of Washington DC.

The "Take It!" came from my arriving very early to be ahead of the forecast demonstration activity scheduled for the City under the Title of "Stop the Steal."

No matter what one has as a political position - there was no denying the presence of more pickup trucks than I have ever seen at one time in the city.

Most of the trucks were enormous, many were with accessories which were in the heavy duty category.  Amazingly almost all were washed and had all chrome and finishes sparkling.

I was able to finish my work and be on my way out of the city before most of the attendees were up and about.

The challenges to our Country are many - and I have faith we will get through them all.

My very best to everyone.

Bruce

PS: Many of the trucks had to be parked in front of the hotels as they were too big to fit into the hotel parking garages. This gave the city (out of sight of the monuments) a surreal - Main Street in a small town in Montana appearance.

Boy I bet you're glad you were there on the 5th and not the 6th.

What an unfortunate day the next day was. Personally I believe regardless of one's politics, we should never want to see the symbol of our democracy ransacked and destroyed.

I bet there were a lot of big trucks in the city that week lol. In that last photo alone I can see 5.

Our apologies, we posted the wrong date when we originally posted this photo story. The photos were taken on January 6th, not January 5th.
